Forward your business calls to your agent

Forward calls from your own business number to a Kollie AI agent, without changing the number your customers dial.

Call forwarding lets you redirect incoming calls from your own phone number to a Kollie AI agent. This allows the AI to handle calls made to your business number without changing the number your customers dial.

Unlike call transfers, which move an ongoing AI-handled call to a live representative, call forwarding happens before the AI answers, sending the call straight from your carrier or phone system to the AI agent.

How it works

  • Your carrier or phone system redirects all (or specific) incoming calls to the Kollie AI agent's phone number.
  • Customers dial your regular business number as usual.
  • The AI agent receives and answers the forwarded call directly.

Requirements

  • A phone number assigned to your AI agent in Kollie.
  • Call forwarding capability from your carrier or business phone system.
  • Customer-side setup of forwarding commands (often using SIM codes, PBX settings or VoIP configuration).

Setup steps

  1. Get the AI agent's number. In Kollie, locate the phone number assigned to your agent.
  2. Access your carrier's call forwarding settings. This can be done through SIM codes, mobile settings, or your PBX/VoIP control panel.
  3. Set the forwarding rule.
    • Choose whether to forward all calls, only unanswered calls, or calls during specific hours.
    • Enter the AI agent's number as the destination.
  4. Test the forwarding. Call your business number from another phone to confirm the AI agent answers as expected.
  • Carrier-specific: the exact steps and commands vary by provider. Consult your carrier's documentation for details.
  • Charges: your carrier may charge for forwarded calls. Check your plan for costs.
  • Responsibility: setting up call forwarding is done by the customer; Kollie does not configure forwarding on your behalf.
